Channel sections are cast to a consistent internal profile and length, with a groove at each end for jointing and a lifting insert for handling. Sections are laid end-to-end along the drainage route on a prepared PCC base, jointed with mortar, and covered with matching precast lids sized to the channel opening. Two load classes — T-6 and T-25 — are available so the drain can be matched to the traffic or loading expected over the channel.
