What is u shape drain t-6?

The T-6 U shape drain is a precast concrete drainage channel rated for standard-duty loading — suited to pedestrian walkways, light-vehicle areas and general surface drainage — supplied with a matching precast lid.

How it works

Channel sections are cast with a consistent U-profile, a jointing groove at each end, and a lifting insert for handling. Sections are laid on a prepared PCC bed and jointed with dry mortar; a slotted precast lid sits over the channel opening, allowing surface water to enter while supporting light surface loading.

Installation sequence

Excavate trench to design level and fall
Lay 100mm PCC bedding (reference) to line and level
Bed channel sections on approx. 20mm dry mortar, jointing section to section
Fit precast lids to the channel run
Backfill and reinstate surrounding surface

Load considerations

T-6 product is intended for pedestrian and light-vehicle loading. For carriageways or heavier axle loads, review the T-25 U shape drain instead.

Transport & logistics

Sections are supplied at a standard nominal length (reference: 2000mm) for transport and handling by truck; site access and unloading arrangements should be planned around section length and weight.
